Business college aptitute test (BCAT) is a testing system for various business schools of Pakistan. All the business schools have different patterns of aptitutde testing which may comprise english, mathematics, general knowledge, IQ and essay etc. After successfully passing the cutoff of aptitude, student may need to qualify group discussion and interview for final selection.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualify the Aptitude Test OR provide proof for exemption from the aptitude test by providing SAT I / SAT II transcript, whichever is applicable.

  • Higher Secondary School Certificate with a minimum of 65% marks.
  • A’ Levels with a minimum of 2 ‘B’s and 1 ‘C’ in three principal subjects such that there should be no grade less than a ‘C’ across the three principal subjects. No credit is applicable for any subsidiary, general, or advanced supplementary paper;

  • Higher Secondary School Certificate with a minimum of 60% marks.

Minimum Academic eligibility requirement

Applicants who have successfully completed FA/ICS/ICOM/FSc/A’ Levels/High School Diploma or International Baccalaureate (IB) are eligible to apply for admission if they fulfill one of the following academic qualifications:

  • Successful completion of Matric (60% marks or above) and FA (60% marks or above)/FSc/ ICS/ICOM (65% marks or above)
  • O’ Levels results (in at least 6 subjects) with an average grade of at least `C` and A’ Levels in at least 3 principal subjects1 with at least 2 Bs and 1 C grade such that there should be no more than 1 C grade and no grade less than a C. No credit will be given for General Paper.

 

Admission Test Pattern(LCAT)

There will be 7 multiple choice sections of the test, which are as follows

  • ENGLISH Language Section                 (3 Sections)

Mathematics Section

There will be 3 main sections of 25 Minutes Per Section.

There will be two main categories.

Mathematics Section will cover topics in Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, Trigonometry, word problems, fractions, percentage, exponent & roots, algebraic expressions, ratio proportion etc.

English Language Section.

There will be three sections of 25 Minutes per section.

English language test contains, Sentence correction, sentence completion, written expressions and reading comprehension

Paragraph Writing.(Time 25 Minutes)

Paragraph writing section requires the “Analysis of n issue”

  • 1 Marks for each correct answer
  • Negative marking: ¼
  • Total Duration 2 hours 30 Minutes.
